Fruit for Breakfast

I love having fruit for breakfast. It feels so good and light on my stomach first thing in the morning, and it gives me enough energy to power through my day.

Also, studies suggest that eating fruit first thing in the morning and on a empty stomach is best for digestion. If you eat fruit at the end of the meal, it tends to ferment on top of the other food you just ate and you lose a lot of the nutritional benefits.

A good plan is to make a fruit salad at night and pack it in a glass container to take with you in the morning. That way, you can just grab it and go. Be nontraditional by combining your favorite fruits. I like combining strawberries, bananas, grapes and apple slices. I then pour Mango juice over the fruit salad and let it chill in the fridge overnight. It tastes so good.

If you don’t have time to make a fruit bowl at night, you can always grab a banana or apple on the go. They are perfect go-to fruits when you’re running short on time.

Until next time pretty girl!
