I am big on positive affirmations and thoughts. I think that you should say something nice to yourself all of the time. Here are some ways to do that on a daily basis without having to think about it.
1. Set a reminder on your phone that says something sweet, like “You are so beautiful,” or “You are an amazing person.” Then, set it to go off automatically either every day, week, other week, or month. It’s a nice welcomed surprise from you, by you, especially if you set up a few different ones to appear once a month.
2. Write a nice message for yourself in lipstick on your mirror. That way, every morning and night (and every time you go to the bathroom) you will see it. The more you see, the more you read it, the more you believe it.
3. Take a few minutes every day to meditate and repeat a positive affirmation. You could say, “Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better.” Repeat it to yourself, take a few deep breaths, and really allow those thoughts to sink in. Over time, you will find that this small exercise will change the way you look, feel and act.
4. Smile at someone. I find that my natural face can be more of a scowl at times. But when I smile at people, they always tell me how beautiful I look. I think it’s because a smile brightens up my face and because when you smile at people it puts them at ease. So, take a moment today to smile at someone and sit back and wait for the compliments to roll in.
