Stress Journaling

20140709-111732-40652023.jpgWhen I am feeling extremely stressed out, I like to journal. It’s especially helpful when there are a million thoughts running through my head.

I usually ask myself, “What’s stressing you out?” Then, I just let the thoughts pour out of me. It doesn’t have to be complete sentences. The spelling and grammar doesn’t have to be correct. You just have to get it out. It’s like a mental purge.

Once it’s all out, I step away for a minute. It helps to do something relaxing, like read a good book, meditate, drink some hot tea, or do your nails. Then, once your mind is clear and relaxed, work on your list one at a time.

Or don’t.

It’s up to you. Some things that stress you out can be fixed. Some things can’t. But either way, writing it all out always helps.
