My Experience with hCG

I’ve been debating about whether or not I would post about this, but I’ve decided to go ahead and do it. If this post helps someone else out there, then it was worth writing.

Almost three weeks ago I ordered hCG pellets from Nu Image Medical. I am not going to go into detail about what hCG is or how it works. Google it.

Anyway, I chose the pellet option over the injections because I do not like injections and I was convinced that I would not undergo that torture just to lose weight.

Basically, I put a pellet under my tongue every morning and ate 500 calories. That’s it.

I started when we were out of town for a wedding. Terrible timing, but I lost 10 pounds! To date, I’ve made it through an NBA game, a funeral, and a potato bar at work, all while sticking to my diet.

So far I have lost 16.6 pounds in roughly two weeks. My weight has stalled, and the 500 calorie protocol is super boring. I’ve been drinking protein shakes instead, and while I haven’t gained any weight, I haven’t lost any either.

I’m convinced that the pellets where worth it in that 16 pounds isn’t bad and it jump started my diet. I have 21 more to take. After that, I hope to have lost 20 additional pounds, rounding out my total to 38 pounds, which was my ultimate goal.

Overall, these pellets do take away most of your hunger. I mean, psychologically all I want to do is eat, and I’m occasionally hungry, but it makes it doable. I know what my real hunger feels like, and if I was going through my real hunger, I wouldn’t be able to do this.

This is not a cure. It is a start. Everything is a start. But you have to convince yourself that you can never go back to your old self, unless you want to go back to your old body.
