When people ask me to do things on Sunday, I get offended. I don’t mind giving up my Saturday for weddings, baby showers, anniversary parties, graduations, cookouts, or other social gatherings. I willingly give a few hours on Saturdays for activities like this.
Sunday is my day. I spend Sunday at the meeting in the morning. Then, I’m meal prepping for the week, getting Carter’s stuff packed up for the week, laying out clothes for Monday, watching football, and relaxing. Sunday is the day I contemplate and rejuvenate and prepare for a new week. It’s the day when I just #netflixandchill.
Because in less than 24 hours I will be up at 4 in the morning, beginning another long week of work, that’s why.
My Sundays are for me.
