But, if you’re a big girl, do yourself a favor and skip Lane Bryant or any of those other ‘plus size’ stores. They are full of leopard prints, florals and oversized clothes that no one wants to wear.
Instead, your best bet is online shopping. There are a lot of online stores that sell amazing clothes for the average woman. One of my favorites is Monif C. She sells swimwear, casual wear, business attire and high fashion looks for women sizes 14 and up.
Here are some key points to remember when buying clothes:
- Play up your assets. Whether it’s your amazing butt, fabulous legs, toned arms, or cleavage for days, highlight it with a pair of fitted jeans, a short skirt, a sleeveless blouse or a v-neck shirt.
- Downplay your flaws. Whether it’s your flat booty, chubby legs, bat wings, flat chest, or muffin top, you can hide all of these areas with shapewear. Stick to the low-end brands that are least expensive but offer maximum support. If you really want to spend the coins, you can purchase a waist trainer online. Waist Gang Society has expensive, but really good waist trainers.
- Don’t wear baggy clothes. Baggy clothes make you look bigger than you are. Wear clothes that fit, like Goldilocks. Not too big. Not too small. Just right.
