On Building an Empire

It’s easy to find a man with money and marry him. It’s easy to plot and scheme and sleep your way to the top. Reap the benefits of someone else’s labor.

That’s easy.

What’s hard is to work for yours. To start at the bottom and put in the blood, sweat and tears required in order to reach the top.

What’s even harder is to do so as a couple. To get married without much and turn that nothing into something together

To build an empire.

It takes great patience, sacrifice, trust, discipline and confidence. Sometimes it’s easy to lose sight of the big picture when you’re focused on the here and now.

On the necessities of the day.  On the bills and the wants and the needs of the moment as opposed to saving up for the wants and needs of the future.

But, if you want to build an empire, then that’s what you have to do. You have to make goals as a couple, make a plan on how to reach those goals, and then stick to that plan no matter what.

It’s not easy, but it’s worth it.
