Help Your Hair Survive Daily Workouts

So, you’re a pretty girl that wants to add more fitness to her life?  That’s great. Not only does exercise improve your body, but it also improves your mood and your health.

But, what can you do to make sure that your hair survives these daily sweat sessions?

First, always put your hair up prior to exercising. Yes, I know, Instagram is flooded with posts of hot chicks ‘working out’ with their hair down. But, let’s be real here. They aren’t working out. They’re doing impromptu photo shoots at the gym. There’s a difference.

If you really plan on getting your sweat on, putting your hair in a ponytail is a must. You could also French braid it, and pull it off of your face with a sweat band too, for extra protection. This will help to keep your hair as dry as possible.

Post workout, show your hair some TLC. Washing it daily isn’t reasonable, but you can keep it clean and refreshen it by putting a little water and witch hazel on a clean washcloth and dabbing (not the dance, Cam, calm down)  your scalp with it to soak up any sweat. You can also lightly blow dry your hair on warm until it is completely dry. Spraying your hair with a hairspray that contains a little alcohol can also help to freshen your hair post-workout.

Wear wigs and weaves? Use the product shown below. Just spray all over your unit or extensions and your scalp for an instant refresh. Lightly blow dry your hair, brush, and go.

The entire process should take about 10 minutes and will leave your hair feeling and looking fresh and beautiful.
